This page explains what information FoxBot handles when it's added to a Discord server, and what we do with it (short answer: not much).
FoxBot does not collect, store, or log any personal data. When you use a slash command, FoxBot reads the command and any options you've passed (for example, a username for /wag), uses that to form a response, and that's it. Nothing is written to a database or retained after the response is sent.
When a slash command is used, Discord sends FoxBot some basic context so it can respond correctly. This includes:
This information is only used in the moment to construct a reply. It is not stored anywhere.
FoxBot uses the Discord API to operate. Discord's own privacy policy applies to how they handle your data. FoxBot does not use any analytics tools, ad networks, or other third-party services.
Some commands display GIFs hosted on Tenor. Viewing those GIFs is subject to Tenor's own terms.
FoxBot is designed for general audiences and does not knowingly interact with anyone under the age of 13. Discord itself requires users to be at least 13 years old.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the "last updated" date at the top of this page will be updated. We're not collecting your email, so we can't notify you directly - but honestly, not much is likely to change.
If you have questions about this policy, feel free to get in touch through our Discord server or however you found this bot.
